From the South

Head North on the A1(M) to Junction 63 and follow the road signs at the round-a-bout for the A693 towards Consett, Stanley & Beamish Museum.

At the next mini round-a-bout head straight over staying on the A693, and continue on this road for approximately 6 miles past the next three round-a-bouts.

After the round-a-bout for Beamish Museum (third one), you will start heading up a bank, just before the top of the bank there is a right hand turn, turn right here and head along Pelaw Avenue, past the Hill Top pub (on your left) then start heading down the bank past a school on your right.

At the bottom of the bank there is a petrol station, turn left here and the
Ball Alley Bed & Breakfast is 20 metres past the petrol station on the right.

From the North

Head South on the A1(M) to the junction with the B1426 and take the slip road, stay in the right hand lane.

At the traffic lights at the end of the slip road bear right at the round-a-bout and take the 3rd exit on the A692 towards Consett.

When heading up the bank stay in the left hand lane as the road splits at the top of the bank.

Continue on the A692 for approx 3 miles past Emanuelle School on your right, past the Marquis of Granby pub on your right. You will then enter the village of Sunniside.

At the third set of traffic lights in Sunniside (Co-op on your right) turn left onto the A6076 and stay on this road for a further 3 miles.

You will pass the Tanfield Railway & Causey Arch before entering Stanley. Once you enter Stanley, you will see a petrol station straight in front of you.

The Ball Alley Bed & Breakfast is located 20 meters to the right of the petrol station.
